According to trooper reports, on Sunday night at just after 11 pm, a call came in to the troopers of several shots being fired on Charlie Drive in Wasilla.

After the 911 calls, troopers responded to the scene, their investigation into the report revealed that a 43-year-old Wasilla man, Cecil Nelson, had gotten into an altercation earlier at a residence near where he was living.
After leaving that residence, he returned to his home and retrieved a weapon and discharged it in the direction of the residence where he had had the earlier confrontation.
Nelson was immediately placed under arrest and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held on a $3,000 bail with a Court-Ordered Third Party Custodian requirement. He was charged with Misconduct Involving a Firearm II.
