A Wasilla man was arrested on a warrant for Child Pornography and remanded to the Anchorage Jail with his bail set at $50,000 on Monday.
47-year-old Conrad Wade Thomas was arrested after a Grand Jury handed down a 17 count indictment on Thursday that “included five counts of Distribution of Child Pornography, seven counts of Possession of Child Pornography, three counts of Indecent Viewing or Photography, and two counts of Unlawful Exploitation of a Minor,” according to the Alaska State Troopers. All 17 counts are Class B and Class C Felonies.
The indictments came as a result of a lengthy investigation into Thomas that began in February of this year. It was then, as well as in June, that troopers with the Alaska Bureau of Investigation’s Technical Crimes Unit received tips that Thomas was uploading images that depicted child sexual abuse onto the Internet.
Also uncovered in the investigation was evidence that Thomas “had surreptitiously video-recorded a juvenile who had lived in the residence from 2011 to 2013,” the trooper dispatch divulged.
