Wasilla Man Suffers Fatal Crash after Being the Subject of REDDI Report

The State Medical Examiner’s office responded to a crash scene at mile 12 of Knik-Goose Bay Road and took possession of the remains of the victim of a fatal crash late Sunday afternoon as the investigation into the incident continues.

Troopers had responded to a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) on Sunday. Callers reported that a Ford Ranger was speeding down the highway southbound, passing in no passing zones and driving into opposing traffic at mile 10.5 of Knik-Goose Bay Road.

Troopers located the vehicle at mile 12 after it had left the roadway and had rolled several times. Despite wearing a seat belt, the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as 57-year-old Carl F. Dearmon, did not survive the crash.

Troopers are continuing their investigation into the incident.
