At 12 noon on Monday, Investigators with the Special Crimes Unit and the Anchorage WAANT Unit located and carried out arrests of 47-year-old Troy Edward Williams and 35-year-old Heidi Ross for outstanding warrants issued last week on Prostitution charges.

Both subjects were located at the same apartment address off of Creekside Center Drive in Anchorage. Williams was arrested on a $100,000 warrant for charges of Promoting Prostitution I, II, III. Ross was arrested on a $20,000 warrant for the same charges.

Williams and Ross were indicted in Anchorage after a lengthy investigation. The investigation found that Williams and Ross forced vulnerable women to work in the sex trade and were punished if they refused. Court documents say that “Ross is alleged to have forced women to take ice baths, be beaten, or hand write ‘I am willing to work’ a thousand times if they appeared reluctant to be prostituted.”

Williams. because his lengthy criminal history that includes eight prior felonies, could face up to 20-35 years in prison. Ross could face 10-25 years as a result of a conviction on her charges.
