Early on Thursday morning, a Willow woman, identified as 27-year-old Antoinette Holliday, was struck by a passing vehicle after she had stopped to render assistance to a disabled motorist, the troopers reported today.
Troopers, Mat-Su Borough EMS and Willow Rescue responded to Long Lake Drive in Willow at 1:15 am after the call came in reporting an injured pedestrian.
The trooper investigation at the scene revealed that as Holliday was assisting a disabled motorist and was standing next to her vehicle on the shoulder of the road, a white sedan, traveling at a high rate of speed, hit her, then went on to hit the disabled vehicle.
The vehicle failed to stop after the collisions.
Holliday was transported to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries to her lower extremities.
Troopers are asking anyone with information on the incident, or the white sedan to contact them at 352-5401.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
