15 and 19-Year-Old Arrested for Fairbanks Chena Pump Plaza Robbery Tuesday Night

Late Tuesday night, Fairbanks-based Alaska State Troopers received a report of a robbery occurring at the Chena Pump Plaza IN Fairbanks and nabbed their suspects on the way to the scene.

A call went in to the troopers at 11:47 p, om Tuesday night reporting a robbery  and immediately responded. As they traveled to the scene of the robbery, they “observed a vehicle leaving the area with an equipment violation.  Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle which initially stopped then fled towards North Pole,” the trooper dispatch reported.

North Pole police deployed a tire deflation device ahead of the fleeing vehicle and successfully deflated the vehicle’s tires and the vehicle came to a stop near 5th Avenue in North Pole.

When contacted, troopers found that the driver of the vehicle was a 15-year-old Salcha juvenile and the passenger in the vehicle was identified as 19-year-old North Pole resident Brandon Laszloffy.

Both suspects were arrested for Robbery I, and Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Police Officer. The 15-year-old was also charged with Reckless Driving and Driving in Violation of an Instructional Permit. Laszloffy was additionally charged with Criminal Mischief IV and a Probation Violation.

Laszloffy was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Facility while the younger suspect was turned over to the Fairbanks Youth Facility.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
