Troopers would respond to a call that reported a firebomb that exploded on Arylynn Way in Soldotna on Saturday evening just before 7 pm.
Troopers would contact two young males in the incident.
According to the report, the two males, one identified as 20-year-old Elijah Jackson, and the other, a 17-year-old only identified as B.B., had fashioned a Molotov Cocktail with flammable liquid and had tossed the homemade firebomb onto the roadway. The cocktail narrowly missed a vehicle, with two people aboard, that driving past that portion of the roadway.
The two suspects reported that they weren’t throwing the homemade fire bomb at that vehicle, or any vehicle, but that they did not see the vehicle that had come around the curve when they threw the cocktail.
Although no one was hurt in the incident, Jackson, as well as B.B. were arrested and charged with 2 counts of Assault III, and Reckless Endangerment. B.B. wAs charged as a juvenile.
