Troopers state that they are continuing an investigation of a discovered death in the community of Lower Kalskag that was reported on Saturday.

A call went in reporting the death of 27-year-old Marcia White of Lower Kalskag at 3:08 am on Saturday morning. She had been found dead in her home there.

Troopers and an Aniak VPSO traveled to Lower Kalskag via snow machine later Saturday morning arriving there at 5:30 am. Investigators with the Alaska Bureau of Investigation in Anchorage also traveled to the community and conducted their investigation with the assistance of troopers and the Aniak-based VPSO.

White’s remains were turned over to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage for autopsy in an effort to determine exact cause of death.

No further information has been revealed by troopers and they say the investigation is on-going.
