Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a single vehicle accident just off of Bogard Road on Sunday.
Troopers arrived at the scene to find that the driver of the 1999 Mercury Villager deceased.
The investigation at the scene found that 69-year-old Rocke McFarland of Wasilla had left the roadway near Tait Drive and Bogard Road yesterday.

After leaving the roadway, McFarland’s vehicle rolled several times and collided with a number of trees. The vehicle came to a rest about thirty feet from the road.
Unfortunately, McFarland was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, and was ejected from his vehicle.
There were no passengers in the vehicle.
McFarland was pronounced dead at the scene and the State Medical Examiner responded to the scene for the body.
Next of kin were notified.
The investigation into the accident continues.
