On Wednesday, late in the afternoon, a call went in to the Alaska State Troopers station in Anchor Point by a caller reporting a robbery at the end of East End Road outside of Homer. The caller related to troopers that the victim was standing in the middle of the road clad only in boxer shorts.
When troopers responded to the scene and contacted the victim, the victim, who had suffered minor injuries, told troopers that as he was riding his ATV, a silver Toyota pickup with a beat-up camper shell ran him off the road. When he left the roadway, he careened into a ditch where he was thrown from the ATV.
The un-named victim continued saying that after he ended up in the ditch, two occupants of the vehicle got out and, while wearing masks, beat him and stripped him of his clothes. After beating the victim, they stole multiple items from the man and took off in their vehicle, taking his clothes with them.
The victim could not give a further description of the vehicle. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
Troopers are asking that anyone with information on the incident or the vehicle to call them at (907) 235-8239.
