Late on Saturday night at approximately 11 pm, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residential alarm at a residence on Kim Avenue in WIllow.  Troopers noticed after they arrived that items had been rifled through outside the residence, but the dwelling itself had not been entered.

When following up on the alarm on Sunday, troopers went to the residence again at approximately 4pm to find that the home had been entered after they investigated the scene the night before.

While on scene, troopers received another report of trespassers about a block away. The caller reported that seven juveniles were attempting to steal groceries from a property there.

When they arrived at that second location, troopers detained the seven juveniles. Their investigation would find that one of the juveniles was a distant relation to the homeowner of the first property troopers were investigating.  But, troopers would find that the juvenile did not have any authorization to enter the property.

Troopers soon determined that both incidences were related.

A 16-year-old male juvenile being questioned by troopers, gave troopers a fake name when asked. The juvenile was taken into custody by troopers and charged with Criminal Mischief IV, Criminal Trespass I, and making a False Report.

During their investigation, troopers would contact 33-year-old Christina Collins. Collins drove up to the scene in a green Chevy Cavalier. It was found that Collins was driving without a valid license as her license had been revoked for a previous DUI. She was issued a citation with a mandatory court appearance.

The remaining six juveniles were released to their parents.

Further criminal charges are being forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice for their review.
