Alaska State Troopers reported this weekend that the search for 23-year-old Wasilla suspect, Jordan King ended, when he had his alleged hostage, went to the Wasilla Mat-Su West Trooper Post Saturday night.
The search for King and 40-year-old Wasilla woman, Shawna Robb, began after troopers responded to the Fairview Loop area in connection with a report of a man and woman arguing at 5:15 am. The 911 call was called in by the victim’s teen-aged niece, after she observed Robb struggling with King. By the time troopers arrived at the scene, both persons were gone and had left in Robb’s green 2012 Ford truck.
Troopers would find that King had absconded from his Court Approved Third Party custodian that was appointed in a December case where King is facing Burglary I with a Firearm, Assault II and Failure to Stop for Police. In that case, the investigation uncovered that King had broken into a woman’s home and using his weapon, pistol-whipped the woman and attempted to rape and kidnap her.
Believing that Robb was in danger, troopers asked the public for information as to the two individual’s whereabouts. Later in the morning, Robb’s vehicle was located unoccupied. and a ground and helicopter search was initiated.

At approximately 8 pm, troopers reported that King and Robb entered the Wasilla Trooper Post. King was immediately placed under arrest and charged with “Kidnapping, Assault I, Assault III, Vehicle Theft I, and two counts of Violating Conditions of Release,” the troopers reported.
Robb and King first met when he worked as a cook at the Denali Family Restaurant where Robb worked as the manager. King was waiting for Robb when she was leaving for work on Saturday morning.
King was arraigned on Sunday and is in custody.
