Alaska State Troopers responded to the southwest Alaska community of Holy Cross after receiving a report from the Holy Cross Tribal Police officer that he had arrested a Holy Cross man on an active warrant for the original charge of Attempted Burglary I and Criminal Mischief III.

The tribal officer informed troopers that he had arrested 26-year-old Andrew Sergie Demientieff on the $1,000 warrant at approximately 3 pm on Tuesday. Troopers responded to the community to take custody of Demientieff. But, prior to transporting him to Bethel, they would also discover that the suspect had also violated a domestic violence protective order by going to the local store,. a location he was prohibited from being within 500 feet of on two occasions. Subsequently, Demientieff was charged with two additional charges of Violating a DVPO.

Demientieff was transported to Bethel where he was remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
