An 83-year-old Hydaburg resident called into Alaska State Troopers at 5:30 AM on Thursday morning to report that “an unknown male entered his residence and demanded his wallet,” the trooper Dispatch reported.

The victim told troopers that the unknown male was armed with a crowbar. The incident ended with the suspect leaving with the homeowner’s cell phone and some of his clothing.

The victim reported that he wasn’t injured during the incident.

AST says the investigation is ongoing.
