For the third time this week, International forces have been fired on by apparent Afghan counterparts.
The first incident happened on Tuesday, when two gunmen in Afghan National Army uniforms killed a coalition service member in the eastern part of Afghanistan.
On Thursday, NATO forces gunned down an Afghan soldier who had opened fire, and killed a coalition service member at a military base.
In this latest incident, that occurred late Thursday, an Afghan Police Commander shot and killed three members of the Special Forces after inviting them to dinner.
The police commander, identified by a Taliban Spokesman as Asadullah, is said to have joined the insurgency after fleeing the attack.
These “green on blue” attacks have taken the lives of 33 members of the coalition thus far this year.
