The young boy, 11-year-old Dante Gibbs, who was struck while riding his bike across the Glenn Highway on September 2nd, died in the hospital without regaining consciousness on Wednesday

At 7:40 on that rainy evening, Dante and his friend attempted to cross the Glenn Highway on September 2nd and successfully crossed the first half of the highway then Dante was hit by a 2007 Pontiac when trying to cross the second half of the six lane highway near Muldoon.

The driver of the Pontiac was not charged in the incident.
