Alaska State Troopers based in Kodiak pulled over a 1991 Nissan Sentra for a traffic violation near the intersection of Carroll Way and Spruce Cape Road on Thursday at 7:31 am.
The stop and contact with the driver, 23-year-old Michelle Poulos, would determine that Poulos was driving with a revoked license. Poulos was also on Condition of Release on a prior case of Driving While License Revoked in May of this year.
Further investigation at the scene would find that a passenger in the vehicle, 21-year-old Steven Macinko was on probation for Felony Theft II from March of this year. Adult Probation was contacted, and drug test on Macinko would test positive for narcotics.
A second passenger in the vehicle, 21-year-old Joan Pedersen, would be found to be in the possession of Methamphetamine.
Troopers were assisted by the Kodiak Police Department with K-9 Kira.
The vehicle was seized after heroin and additional drug paraphernalia and evidence of trafficking was discovered in the vehicle.
Poulos was arrested for Driving with a Revoked License and Violation of Conditions of Release, Macinko was charged with MICS II, MICS IV, and violating his conditions of release. Pedersen was charged with MICS II.
All three were transported to the Kodiak Jail and held without bail pending arraignment.
