Anchorage police are seeking the whereabouts of a 30-year-old man with five felony counts that walked away from the hospital on Monday.
Andrew Abellanosa is wanted on three counts of Assault III, as well as Misconduct Involving Weapons and Reckless Endangerment.
Police were called to the Playhouse Club in downtown Anchorage for an altercation there at 2:15 am. The caller reported gunshots and possible injuries. When they arrived they found an injured Abellanosa, who was suffering from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. He was found in the entrance to the bar, on the floor, bleeding profusely.
Police say Abellanosa got into an altercation at the bar and pulled out the weapon which discharged twice.
Police applied first aid to Abellanosa’s wounds and managed to stop the bleeding. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. He was to be arrested and remanded on charges, but, the day before he was to be discharged, Abellanosa walked away from the hospital.
Police are asking that anyone with information as to Abellanosa’s whereabouts, to contact them at 786-8900.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
