APD Continues to Seek Vehicle of Interest in New Years Downtown Homicide

While Anchorage police have yet To Release any information on the suspects responsible for the death of 39-year-old Timothy Smith who was gunned down scarcely an hour and a half into the new year on January 1, they continue to ask for the public’s help in locating the silver or gray Chevy Trailblazer that was seen in the area when the shooting occurred.

APD responded to a shots fired call at 4th Avenue and D Street at 12:16 AM New Year’s Day. When they arrived at the scene they discovered Smith with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he was declared deceased.
