Alaska State Troopers report via the trooper dispatch that a 68-year-old Fairbanks man who died died in a traffic incident on the Parks Highway is believed to have died of natural causes on Tuesday.
According to the report, Donald C, Leistikow, of Fairbanks, was southbound at mile 149 of the Parks Highway in his 1997 Toyota T100 pickup, when he left the roadway for an undisclosed reason, and crashed into the ditch on the northbound side of the highway.
Alaska State Troopers received a report of the accident at 3:52 pm, and responded to the accident location. Leistikow was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Although it is believed by authorities, that Lestikow died from natural causes, the exact cause of his death is still under investigation.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
