Alaska State Troopers Seek Help in Locating Wanted Kodiak Man

(KODIAK, Alaska) – The Alaska State Troopers in Kodiak are requesting the assistance from the public in locating Brandon Eliott Timpke, 23, of Kodiak who is wanted on a $500,000 arrest warrant for weapons and drug charges. UAS Sitka Campus Offers December Silver Engraving Art Class

SITKA, Alaska – The University of Alaska Southeast Sitka Campus will offer silver engraving as one of its Northwest Coast Art offerings. This class will begin December 2 – 11, 2013 at the UAS Sitka Campus. The one-credit class will be taught by award-winning metalsmith Nicholas Galanin of Sitka.

Laura Prugh knew she shouldn’t bother trying to trap kangaroo rats in the California desert on nights when the moon was shining. Professors had told her that small mammals make themselves scarce under the light of the moon, lest they become a meal for a predator that spotted them.
