U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, today spoke on Fox News Business about the 10 year anniversary of the Senate vote that blocked the opening of ANWR. The excuse cited by most was that it would take 10 years to get the oil to market.

A call was placed to Soldotna dispatch yesterday evening about 6:25 pm. The caller reported a hit and run that occurred near mile 15 of the Kalifornsky Beach Road.

Israel Keyes Charged with Kidnapping Resulting in Death in Samantha Koenig Case

It was announced today by United States Attorney Karen Loeffler, that a Federal Grand Jury had returned an indictment against the man apprehended in Texas on March 13th, Israel Keyes. He is being charged Kidnapping resulting in the death of 18-year-old Samantha Koenig as well as Receiving and Possessing Ransom Money and Access Device Fraud.
