CAMP DENALI, Alaska—Airmen with the Alaska Air National Guard’s 210th, 211th, and 212th Rescue Squadrons rescued a pilot and his passenger when his float-plane overturned after making an emergency landing near Tangle Lakes, 19 nautical miles West of Paxon, Alaska, Aug. 12.
BROOKLYN, NY—Earlier today, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested six men in New York, Arizona, New Jersey, Florida, and California for engaging in an international fraud conspiracy that spanned the globe from North America to Europe and Asia. A seventh defendant was also arrested today on a provisional arrest warrant in Ontario, Canada.
A new high-tech analysis led by a University of Colorado Boulder researcher shows the oldest known petroglyphs in North America, which are cut into several boulders in western Nevada, date to at least 10,500 years ago and perhaps even as far back as 14,800 years ago.
