ANN ARBOR—In events that could exacerbate sea level rise over the coming decades, stretches of ice on the coasts of Antarctica and Greenland are at risk of rapidly cracking apart and falling into the ocean, according to new iceberg calving simulations from the University of Michigan.

Indian Canoe on Paddle/Journey to Quinault Overturns North of Port Townsend, All Aboard Rescued

A Native-American canoe that was part of the paddle/journey to Quinault, Washington overturned approximately five miles north of Port Townsend on Monday tossing nine people into the water.

At approximately noon on Sunday a Cessna 207 on floats taking off from the Naknek River collided with a guide boat on the river near King Salmon.
