Alaska National Guardsmen Rescue Plane Crash Victim Near Bering River

CAMP DENALI, Alaska—Airmen with the Alaska Air National Guard’s 210th, 211th and 212th Rescue Squadrons rescued a pilot involved in a plane crash near the Bering River March 27.

Lummi Tribal Member Sentenced to 97 Months in Prison for Voluntary Manslaughter

An enrolled member of the Lummi Tribe was sentenced on Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Seattle to 97 months in prison for voluntary manslaughter in the death of his 6-month-old daughter, announced U.S. Attorney Jenny A. Durkan.

USFWS Announces Reward for Information on Eagle Killings

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Office of Law Enforcement is investigating the death of two golden eagles near Chickaloon, Alaska. A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to a conviction of the person or persons responsible for killing the eagles.
