Body Recovered from River Positively Identified as Missing Houston Woman

Alaska State Troopers have revealed the identity of the woman pulled from the river in Houston as  Diana Pittser, missing since last Tuesday.
Alaska State Troopers have revealed the identity of the woman pulled from the river in Houston as Diana Pittser, missing since last Tuesday.

Alaska State Troopers report that the remains of a woman retrieved from the river off of Rappalla Road in Houston were confirmed to be those of 56-year-old Diana Pittser, who disappeared and was last seen on December 29th.

The remains were discovered and recovered on Sunday morning, but, troopers declined to identify those remains as Pittser’s until an autopsy and positive identification could be determined by the State Medical Examiner.

Pittser was last seen on last Tuesday evening when she left her home on foot to walk to the river with only a flashlight.

Friends and family searched the area when Pittser failed to return.
