ANCHORAGE, Alaska-The three brown bear cubs, left their home in Alaska via Federal Express from the Ted Steven International Airport in Anchorage and arrived at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus this morning.

Boo, Thor and Mike, the three 11-month-old cubs are now in thirty day quarantine at the Detroit Zoo and visitors will be able to view them sometime in January.

The three cubs were orphaned in October when their mother was shot and killed on the Anchorage Hillside. They were rescued by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. They will soon join Kintla, a 27-year-old female and Lakota, a 26-year-old boar, who both were rescues themselves.

Boo gained his moniker because he was rescued on Halloween. Thor and Mike were rescued on the following weekend.
