Governor Parnell Unveils New Ominbus Crime Bill

Alaska's Governor Parnell yesterday filed an Omnibus Crime Bill with measures for providing stronger protections for victims and survivors, penalty reinforcement for sex trafficking, stronger investigative tools for tracking down and prosecuting offenders, and strengthening sentencing provisions.

Togiak Snowmachiner Found Deceased on Trail to Mankotak after Search

At about 4:35pm on January 15th, a report went in to the Alaska State Troopers reporting an overdue snowmachiner traveling from Togiak to Manokotak. It was reported that the traveler left Manokotak on January 13th.

Arctic Fibre and Quintillion Join Forces to Bring High Speed Internet Access to Northern Alaska and Bering Sea

It was announced today by Arctic Fibre, Inc that they will partner with Anchorage-based Quintillion Networks LLC to provide broadband telecommunications to the more than 26,500 residents living on the North Slope and Bering Sea and will also provide an alternate fiber optic route for traffic moving between the United States, Europe and Asia.

Alaska's Senior Senator and Representative React to President Obama's Plans to Curb Gun Violence
