Alaska National Guard Rescues Two People Rafting the Chulitna River

CAMP DENALI, Alaska—The 11th Rescue Coordination Center received a request for assistance from the Alaska State Troopers early Morning morning for a search and rescue (SAR) 50 miles northeast of Talkeetna.

CAMP DENALI, Alaska – The Alaska National Guard, in partnership with U.S. Army Alaska and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), is hosting a safety day on JBER May 18 to promote safe practices as more people become active with summer recreation.
