Murkowski Announces State Director Change

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senator Lisa Murkowski today announced a change in her Alaska leadership team, with current State Director Miles Baker departing to become the Director of Government Relations and External Affairs for the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation and Murkowski veteran Kevin Sweeney returning to run her state operations and outreach efforts.

Senate Votes on Spending Bill after Cruz Filibuster

A rare 100-0 vote took place in the U.S. Senate just one scant hour after freshman Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas completed his filibuster delaying the vote on the House-passed temporary spending bill that excluded funding for President Obama's Healthcare program.
