Washington, D.C. – Alaska’s Congressional Delegation was pleased to see results, after they supported Governor Parnell’s request for a disaster declaration by urging the White House give “immediate and positive assistance†to storm-afflicted Western Alaska communities. Today the White House released the following information:
KWIGILLINGOK, Alaska-Alaska State Troopers in Bethel were notified yesterday morning of a aircraft which had crashed near Kwigillingok by the Kwigillingok Public Safety Officer there.
GAMBELL, Alaska-Yesterday afternoon, at about 3:10 pm, the Alaska State Troopers were notified that the body of Stanley Rookok had been found. Troopers will respond to t the village of Gambell today to conduct an investigation into his death. It is unclear where his body was found.
JUNEAU, Alaska — The crew of a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Sitka medevaced an injured man from Port Alexander to Sitka Tuesday.
