A century after Western explorers first crossed the dangerous landscapes of the Arctic and Antarctic, researchers funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) have successfully deployed a self-guided robot that uses ground-penetrating radar to map deadly crevasses hidden in ice-covered terrains.
Dragon has docked at the space station Sunday morning at 4:56 am Alaska Time. The capsule is scheduled to spend the next 22 days docked to the Harmony module of the spacecraft.
Although now delayed by malfunctions concerning thrusters which slowed down the deployment of solar panels, SpaceX's Dragon capsule will continue to its rendezvous with the space station.
