Nikiski Leads as Plant Site for In-State Gasline

After more than 20 locations were evaluated, based on conditions related to the environment, socioeconomics, cost, and other project and technical issues, ExxonMobil, BP, ConocoPhillips and TransCanada have selected a site in the Nikiski area on the Kenai Peninsula as the lead site for the proposed Alaska LNG project’s natural gas liquefaction plant and terminal.

Texting, Intoxicated Soldotna Woman Crashes into Lit Construction Sign on Kenai Spur

At just before 3 pm on Sunday, an accident occurred in a construction zone near milepost 2 of the Kenai Spur highway when an intoxicated woman plowed into a trailer and truck while texting on her phone according to trooper dispatch.

Troopers, Rangers Arrest Man Suspected of Vehicle Break-Ins at Nancy Lake Recreational Area

Troopers and Park Rangers apprehended the man they suspect has been breaking into vehicles and stealing credit cards which were later used at local businesses in the Wasilla area on Sunday.
