SITKA, Nov. 9, 2012 — The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) announced that Dr. Kristen Widmer, MD, has joined the medical staff at the SEARHC S’áxt’ HÃt Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka. In addition to providing care for families in Sitka, Dr. Widmer will provide itinerant care for SEARHC patients living in Hoonah.
Juneau, Alaska – The State of Alaska won a multi-million dollar arbitration award against BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. The dispute related to money damages for oil production shortfalls caused by the 2006 pipeline leaks and pipeline replacements in the Prudhoe Bay oilfield.
