Copper Center, AK-The tentative pre-season fishing schedule for Federally qualified subsistence users in the Chitina Subdistrict of the Copper River was announced by the Federal Subsistence Board. This pre-season schedule is identical to the State pre-season schedule and is subject to change based on numbers of salmon entering the Copper River.

This fishery is open, during the periods listed above, to Federally qualified subsistence users having customary and traditional use of salmon in this Subdistrict. Additional periods will be announced as the season progresses.
A Federal permit is required to participate in the fishery under Federal regulations. This permit may be obtained without charge from the National Park Service offices in Copper Center or Slana from 8-4:30 Monday through Friday.
