Crooked Creek Snow Machine Crash Injures Two

Alaska State Troopers believe alcohol played a factor in a snow machine crash in the village of Crooked Creek on Tuesday morning.

Troopers were notified of a snow machine crash in Crooked Creek at 1:07 am on Tuesday morning. The trooper investigation revealed that 24-year-old Gabriel John of Crooked Creek and 21-year-old Oxenia Sakar of Chuathbaluk were riding a 2011 Arctic Ct 550 snow machine on the road, when they swerved off the road and in the process were ejected from the machine.

As a result of the crash and ejection, both John and Sakar were seriously injured and so were transported out of the village fro treatment of their injuries.

Neither one of the two were wearing any protective gear at the time of the crash.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.
