The Kulluk and her entourage of its support vessels has entered the relative safety of Kuliuda Bay after a week and a half of being at the mercy of the wind and tides of the Gulf of Alaska.
The Kulluk went aground just outside of Ocean Bay on Monday of last week after suffering a series of towing setbacks on her way to Seattle for repairs.
Infrared equipment was utilized as the vessels were underway to the new location where the rig will get a thorough going over before continuing on the her original destination of Seattle. No oil discharge was seen during the tow.
