Alaska State Troopers say that the death of Copper River resident, 48-year-old Chris Rietveld showed no signs of foul play.
On October 20th, troopers resoponded to a Copper River residence after a report of a death. When they conducted their investigation into Rietveld’s death, they found “evidence of illegal drug use including drug paraphernalia and substances which field tested positive for heroin, amphetamines, and marijuana,” the trooper dispatch reported on Tuesday.
Alhough troopers say that no foul play was suspected, they believe that drug use was a contributing factor in Rietveld’s death.
Rietveld’s remains were transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage for autopsy.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
