Alaska State Troopers reported on Sunday, that escaped Fairbanks man, identified as 36-year-old John Bass, has been arrested in Fairbanks on an escape warrant.
Bass walked away from the North Star Center, where he was incarcerated awaiting trial on multiple felony charges for “Felony Vehicle Theft 1, Felony Fail to stop at the direction of a police officer and a Misdemeanor charge of Criminal Trespass 2,” the troopers revealed on the morning of May 29th.
It was reported then that Bass headed in a southerly direction when he walked away from the center and authorities believed that he was heading for Anchorage.
But, Bass was located in Fairbanks on Sunday and arrested on the warrant for Escape II. Bass’s bail was set at $20,000 and a Court Approved Third Party Custodian. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday afternoon in Fairbanks Court on this newest charge.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
