Multiple 911 calls went in to the Soldotna Public Safety Communication Center on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm reporting a head-on collision at mile 19 of East End Road near Homer.
Kachemak Emergency Services, LifeMed and Anchor Point Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene of the crash.

Troopers from the Bureau of Highway Patrol-Kenai Peninsula team also responded to the crash scene and took control of the investigation responsibility.
The investigation at the scene revealed that 34-year-old Homer resident Travis Coffey was traveling with a friend who was on another motorcycle.
Coffey was outbound on East End Road on his 2000 Triumph motorcycle when he lost control of his bike and slid into the oncoming lane. 22-year-old Delta Junction resident Domian Kuzman was traveling in the opposite direction when Coffey slid into his path.
Coffey crashed head-on into the front of Kuzman’s 2010 GMC Sierra truck. Coffey died from injuries sustained in the crash. Coffey was wearing a helmet and troopers report impairment does not seem to be a factor in the crash.
Coffey’s next of kin was notified.
The Bureau of Highway Patrol is continueing the investigation.
