A Houston man was arrested for stolen weapon, drug and other charges after Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene at a convenience store on the Parks Highway on Thursday.
Troopers received a call reporting suspected illegal drug activities at mile 48.6 of the Parks Highway at 12:35 am on Thursday morning. When they arrived on the scene, they contacted 29-year-old Andrew K. Allen. During contact with Allen, they discovered that he had on his person a .44 magnum revolver. They also found him to be in possession of methamphetamine.
They also found that he had driven to the convenience store while impaired and with a suspended license. As they continued their investigation into Allen, they found that the revolver, as well as two access devices had been stolen from a family member.
Allen was charged with Misconduct Involving Weapons II and IV, Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance IV, Theft II x2, DUI-Drugs, and Driving while License Suspended. He was arrested, transported, and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held there on no bail.
