Kodiak-based troopers are continuing their investigation into thefts from storage units at Kodiak Transfer that was discovered on Friday and are asking the public to contact them with any information into the thefts.
At 11:46 am, troopers were notified by Erica and Jerry Meadows that approximately $1,800 worth of their belongings had gone missing from their storage unit sometime in the last two weeks.
As troopers were investigating the theft at the scene, they contacted another storage unit renter, David Owens and found that he too had been victimized and had lost approximately $2,500 worth of belongings from his unit as well. He estimated that the items were stolen sometime in the past several months.
