Troopers arrested a Kwethluk juvenile on charges of Arson II, Criminal Mischief III and Assault IV (DV) after a Tuesday incident in that community, troopers revealed.

A report of Arson was phoned in to Bethel-based troopers from the community of Kwethluk at 9:25 pm on Tuesday. Troopers responded to the scene the following morning to investigate the incident.

The trooper investigation showed that a 17-year-old juvenile had assaulted another person. After doing so, the juvenile proceeded to set a house on fire. There were no injuries in the fire, as the home was vacant at the time.

The juvenile was transported to Bethel on charges and remanded to the Bethel Youth Facility.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
