Another letter was intercepted in Washington on Tuesday. This letter contained the same language as the letter that was addressed to Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi. This time, the letter was addressed to President Obama.
This letter was found at the off-site mail room for the White House. The mail handlers there identified the package as containing a “suspicious substance.”

Both letters contained the same wording according to law enforcement. Each said, “To see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance.” Each one of the letters were signed as “I am KC and I approve this message.”
The envelope was immediately quarantined by the Secret Service and the FBI began its investigation. Preliminary testing by the FBI came back positive for the presence of Ricin, the toxic poison made from the Castor Bean plant.
Both letters are being further tested at the FBI’s laboratory in Quantico, Virginia as filed tests can sometimes return a false positive.
It has also been reported by Senator Carl Levin, that his state offices have also received a suspicious letter. Test results for that letter are unavailable however.
The letter sent to Senator Wicker had a Memphis, Tennessee postmark on it but no other identifable information on the envelope.
Senator Claire McCaskill stated yesterday that the letter sent to Senator Wicker was sent by someone that frequently writes to lawmakers.
