A 23-year-old Lower Kalskag woman has been arrested on Attempted Murder I after a shooting incident in that community late Friday evening.
Troopers in Aniak reported that they received a call at 11:41 pm, reporting that a 39-year-old male victim had been shot in the midsection.
“A medivac responded from Bethel and picked up a trooper and VPSO along the way,” the trooper dispatch reported.
When authorities arrived, their investigation revealed that 23-year-old Raven Levi, of Lower Kalskag, had shot the 39-year-old man in the mid-section with a .44 caliber revolver.
The man, in serious condition, was flown to Bethel, then on to Anchorage for treatment.
Levi, who, according to online court records, has been convicted of four Assault IV charges in the past two years, has been charged with Attempted Murder I. She was transported to Bethel, where she was remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center. She remains in custody as of today.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
