Troopers responded to a reported disturbance on Sunday in Wasilla and spoke with multiple witnesses who said James Fuller had been involved in a heated situation with a woman.

During the altercation, according to the witnesses, Fuller allegedly headbutted the woman, also threatened to stab her, then threw an object believed to be a knife during the confrontation.

Fuller denied being involved in the incident and denied having any physical contact with the woman. Troopers noted, however, that Fuller had fresh scratches. He is subject to court-ordered conditions prohibiting contact with the woman.

Additional witnesses reported hearing the woman yelling about her phone and arguing loudly with Fuller before leaving the area in a dark blue pickup truck.

Troopers attempted to locate the woman but were unable to find her. A search of the residence and surrounding area did not locate a knife or any damaged property related to the reported disturbance.

Based on the information provided by the witnesses and Fuller’s existing court-ordered conditions, troopers arrested Fuller at approximately 19:53 hours.

He was arrested for unlawful contact in a domestic violence crime and for violating his conditions of release.
