Troopers received a complaint from a Marshall resident on Saturday at 3:30 pm reporting an intoxicated man armed with a shotgun in the community.
It was reported then that 26-year-old Marshall resident Kyle Myers was in possession of a shotgun and had threatened to shoot his father. It was reported that at least three shots had been fired and it was unknown at that time if there were any injuries.

Alaska State Troopers from Aniak responded to the community. At about 5:38 pm, the troopers were able to make contact with the intoxicated Myers while he was at his friend’s home in Marshall.
An investigation into the incident by the troopers revealed that Myers had discharged a .308 caliber rifle at least five times next to several homes nearby and had also threatened to kill several individuals in the area.
During his rampage, Myers had also broke an arctic style window at a residence across the street from his house causing approximately $500 worth of damage.
Myers was arrested on multiple counts of Assault III, Misconduct Involving Weapons IV and Criminal Michief III. He was flown to Aniak where he was held pending transport to Bethel and YKCC.
The community of Marshall has an estimated approximate population of 400 and is located on the east bank of the Yukon River in southwestern Alaska.
