An Alaska State Trooper patrolling the area of Mil-Tan Road near Nistler Road at Delta Junction came across a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road blocking traffic this weekend and investigated the cause.
It was Saturday morning at half-past midnight that a patrolling trooper saw a vehicle stopped in the road and discovered 20-year-old Aleksandr Glushko passed out in the driver’s seat with the engine running.
The investigation would find that Glushko was intoxicated. Further investigation would also find that Glushko’s driver’s license was revoked for a prior DUI earlier this year, and any vehicle Glushko operated was required to have an ignition interlock device installed.
Glushko, who is still underage, was charged with Minor Consuming Alcohol, Minor Operating a Vehicle after Consuming Alcohol, Driving While License Revoked, Driving Under the Influence, and Driving Outside the Limitations of License.
Glushko was arrested and transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was remanded.
