A North Pole substitute teacher was arrested without incident by police there on Wednesday on two counts of sexual harassment.
23-year-old Michael Keller, who had started his first day as a substitute teacher at the North Pole on Friday was promptly accused of sexual harassment by two students there according to a North Pole Police press release. Several other witnesses have surfaced during the course of the investigation.
Two students reported that the teacher had grabbed them. One student said that she was grabbed in the buttocks while she was at her locker, another alleged she was grabbed as a class completed.
After the allegations were made on Friday, Keller did not return to work this week.
Keller goes to court on Thursday afternoon to face the misdemeanor charges.
