One Dead, Two Injured in Thursday’s Fatal Knik Goose Bay Crash

One man died and two were hospitalized following a three-car collision that occurred on Knik Goose Bay Road on Thursday afternoon, troopers reported.

According to the report, troopers responded to the scene on Knik Goose Bay Road near Donovan Drive in response to a serious accident at 3:09 pm on Thursday to find two people injured and one, 36-year-old Paul Anderson, of Wasilla, deceased at the scene.

The investigation conducted by AST revealed that Anderson was northbound on KGB in a 2000 Dodge Durango when he rear-ended a 2012 Jeep Wrangler operated by Naomi Combs. After hitting the Jeep, he bounced off and impacted a 2011 Subaru operated by Robert Masterson of Bethel.

Combs and her passenger were transported to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries while Anderson was declared deceased at the scene.

The investigation into the accident is continuing.
